Railway Projects

As the Syrian Railway Establishment started the process of upgrading and modernizing its network in Syria and its links to the North (through Turkey), to the south (through Jordan and Lebanon) and to the east (Iraq), European companies with high technical expertise were invited.  ECGroup worked closely with two elite companies and supplemented all assignments to be done locally.  Topographical and geotechnical surveys as well as detailed engineering for all buildings (passengers, administrative, warehouses, services, etc…) walkways, and platforms were performed with high accuracy.

Railway Branches were studied in our offices including alignments, embankments, bridges and culverts.  With the close contact and the support of our European consultants, our office is capable of performing all types and sizes of Railway projects including high speed lines, services and maintenance facilities.

* The Coaches Repair Centre: (Completed)
The preparation of Preliminary Study and Executive Study and supervision services for construction, commissioning and start-up for the Coaches Repair Center Project in Aleppo as for Contract n°47/2000 between ITALFERR and Syrian Railways.

* The Al Tabeye-Al Bookamal Railway Line: (Completed)
The checking and reviewing of the Al Tabeye-Al Bookamal railway line design carried out by METRA Company (Tehran-Iran) as for Contract n°9/2001 between ITALFERR and Syrian Railways.

* The Palmyra – Deir El Zoor Railway Line: (Completed)
The Preliminary Project of Palmyra-Deir El Zoor line and Palmyra –Al Sharkieh line as for Contract n°23/2001 and its extension, between ITALFERR and Syrian Railways.

* The Damascus – Daraa – Jordanian Border railway Line: (Completed)
The Executive engineering services for carrying out the study for renewing railway between Damascus – Daraa – Jordanian Borders, regulated by Contract 15/2001 between ITALFERR and Syrian Railways. First High speed Railway Line in Syria.

* The Aleppo – Lattakia Railway Line: (Completed)
The Preliminary Project for Modernizing and Renewing of Aleppo - Lattakia line as for Contract n°24/2003 and its extension, between J.V. STIPE-FENIT and Syrian Railways.

* The Kamishli-Al Yaroubeyah Railway Line: (in Progress)
The Executive Study for Modernizing and Renewing of Al Kamishli-Al Yaroubeyah Railway Line, regulated by Contract No.37/2006 between J.V. STIPE-FENIT and Syrian Railways.

* The Aleppo – Midan Ekbes Railway Line: (in Progress)
The Preliminary and executive Study for Modernizing and Renewing of Aleppo – Midan Ekbes line as for Contract n°10/2006 and its extension, between J.V. STIPE-FENIT and Syrian Railways.
