The Aleppo Serena Hotel

The Aleppo Governor House "The Serail" is an important heritage building in Aleppo previously used to house governmental offices.  It was constructed between 1930 -1934 on the basis of engineering drawings issued from Paris-France in 1927.

The Aga Khan Cultural Service / SYRIA has plans to transfer this building into a hotel. To complete this task, a complete structural materials assessment was performed to be used in subsequent stages as basis for the structural analysis procedure.

This assessment included materials definition, testing, slabs load tests, and foundation explorations.
